Paragliding Outside Jakarta

Last week I headed a couple of hours south into the hills around Jakarta to go paragliding with a guy I met playing frisbee. We each went tandem with the instructor, who runs a paragliding school on site. Because it is the rainy season there wasn't a whole lot of sun to produce the updrafts that can keep you in the air for hours, so it was only about a 10 minute glide over some tea plantations. Quite nice, but I'll have to go back in the spring (and take Haviva, who wasn't happy that she had to work when we went).
